Maseru Preparatory School is a Cambridge International Examinations accredited centre. Our Curriculum is vibrant, challenging and interactive

English, Mathematics and Science are Core Cambridge Curriculum subject areas. Prescribed elements of the Lesotho National Curriculum are also covered. Cambridge international Examinations Progression tests are written at the end of each academic year from Year 3 to Year 5. We upload our results on the Cambridge website so that we get diagnostic feedback on our students’ performance. In April Year 6 students write the Cambridge Primary checkpoint tests, these tests are marked by Cambridge examiners. The school gets a performance report and each student gets a statement of results.

Cambridge offers great support for teachers in the form of workshops and online training. We are proud that our teachers are constantly attending these workshops. Our staff also undertake Cambridge online courses

Our teaching approach is very much driven by the dynamics in Education. We believe in active learning and developing critical thinking. Therefore we also do experiments, games and simulations. Our belief is to employ methods that are more child centered and hands-on so that the students can get the most benefit from the teaching and learning experience.

The Cambridge Approach supports schools to develop learners who are:

Confident in working with information and ideas- their own and those of others.

Responsible for themselves, responsible to and respectful of others.

Reflective as learners, developing thier ability to learn.

Innovative and equipped for new and future challenges.

Engaged intellectually and socially, ready to make a difference.
